Mini Tummy Tuck Surgery in Connecticut
This patient is a 38 year old female from Fairfield, Connecticut, who desired her abdomen to be flatter. She had three children and had undergone 3 c-sections. After her pregnancies and her c-sections, her abdomen had a fair amount of laxity and bulging and she still felt and looked as if she was pregnant. She also had an indented c-section scar with a small amount of overhanging skin.
She was a great candidate for a mini tummy tuck at our Fairfield County plastic surgery practice. She did not need a full abdominoplasty since she didn’t have a large amount of skin to remove. Most importantly, she needed the laxity of her abdomen corrected with plication of her rectus diastasis (separation of her abdominal muscles).
Her surgery went very well and she had a speedy recovery. Her new scar was just slightly longer than her c-section scar and was hidden very low beneath her underwear. These before and after photos were taken 3 months after surgery and show how her abdomen is now flat without any laxity or bulging after the mini tummy tuck.
