Breast Reconstruction: Case 1 This is a 45 year old female from Westport, Connecticut, with a history of previous breast augmentation. She now had developed breast cancer in her right breast. She underwent bilateral nipple-sparing mastectomies, removal of her old implants, and direct-to-implant reconstruction with new silicone gel implants. This single-stage reconstruction was performed with the use of Alloderm to support the bottom of the implant and reform the implant pocket. The after photo is only 3 weeks after surgery and she doesn't need any further reconstruction or revision. She had a fast recovery and was very pleased with the breast reconstruction result.
