Jandali Plastic Surgery offers IPL for skin rejuvenation and removal of sun spots for patients in Connecticut, Norwalk, Westport, Southport, Fairfield, Bridgeport, Trumbull, Monroe, Shelton, and Milford.
Skin rejuvenation, also known as a photofacial or fotofacial, is performed with IPL (intense pulsed light) technology. This is a non-invasive light based therapy that combines Intense Pulsed Optical and Radio Frequency Energy treatments to reverse skin damage without disrupting the skin surface.
IPL treatments are used for pigmented areas on the skin such as: brown spots, sun spots, age spots, freckles, and red spots. Red spots include spider veins, broken capillaries, facial redness, and rosacea. The texture of the skin improves over time, as treatments stimulate collagen formation, fading the appearance of skin imperfections. IPL treatments are most commonly performed on the face, but can be performed on any area of the body with sun damage, such as the neck, hands, arms, chest, and décolleté area.
There is almost no downtime and discomfort with IPL treatments. Gradual and cumulative improvement of the skin is achieved with 3-5 treatments spaced about 3-4 weeks apart from each other. The number of treatments depends on the condition being treated, the desired results, and how the skin responds. Patients can return to work after treatment, especially with our new breathable foundation from Oxygenetix, matched to your skin tone.
