Female Sexual Dysfunction & Orgasm Problems
Is sex not what it used to be? Are you having trouble with orgasms or no longer enjoy sex? Is sex painful now? For women who think this is just them, they are not alone. Female sexual dysfunction is more common than most realize, affecting up to 25% of women. There is a long list of reasons why this can occur including aging, hormonal changes, medical problems, psychiatric problems and relationship issues. These can all lead to problems with arousal and lubrication, or even painful sex, a condition known as dyspareunia. There are no FDA-approved treatments for women with sexual arousal difficulties, like Viagra for men. The Vaginal PRP Shot | Clitoral PRP Shot is now an option for women.
Vaginal PRP Shot | Clitoral PRP Shot
Vaginal PRP Shot is a non-surgical treatment that treats sexual dysfunction in women by stimulating both the clitoris and vagina with PRP (platelet-rich plasma). Platelet-rich plasma is extracted from the patient's blood and is full of growth factors and the goal is to stimulate the growth of new cells and make the injected areas more sensitive.
Vaginal PRP Shot | Clitoral PRP Shot

Dr. Jandali and his physician assistants have undergone special training by Dr. Runels. Both of these procedures use the power of the patient’s own blood and stem cells to release growth factors to stimulate rejuvenation.
How does the Vaginal PRP Shot | Clitoral PRP Shot work?
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) platelet growth factors are released for up to seven days, supporting collagen production and increased vascularization, which results in overall skin improvements.
Where is the PRP actually injected?
The PRP is injected into two areas: clitoris & vagina.
Clitoris: The first area is just to the side of the clitoris and the PRP spreads under the skin to have effects on the entire clitoris, most of which is buried under the skin but plays an important part in sexual stimulation and clitoral orgasms.
Vagina: The second area is just within the vagina, along the front side. PRP injected in this area stimulates some of the glands that lubricate the vagina. The PRP also spreads to the G spot, which is responsible for vaginal orgasms.
What are the steps?
- Explain Vaginal PRP Shot/Clitoral PRP Shot procedure and benefits; sign consent.
- Apply topical numbing medication to clitoris and just inside vagina along front wall.
- Draw patient’s blood and process for PRP.
- Perform clitoral block with injection of lidocaine.
- Using a tiny needle, PRP is injected into the vaginal wall.
- The clitoris is iced and then PRP is also injected into the clitoris.
How long does the procedure take?
The entire treatment takes about 30-40 minutes to draw the patient’s blood, numb the area, and perform the PRP injection.
Is it painful?
The Vaginal PRP Shot is quick with minimal pain. We use a strong topical numbing medication before we then inject some lidocaine under the clitoris. An ice pack is then used on the clitoris just before the PRP is injected.
What is the recovery after?
There is minimal recovery or limitations after the Vaginal PRP Shot. The clitoral and labial area can be numb for a few hours after treatment from the lidocaine. Expect mild inflammation, redness and swelling for a few days. Bruising may last a couple of weeks. You can resume normal physical activity and exercise the day after the treatment. We advise patients to avoid manipulating or pressing on the treated area for 48 hours. We also ask that patients wait 48 hours after treatment to resume sexual activity or use tampons. There are no restrictions on showering, bathing or swimming.
How long do the effects last?
The effects from the Vaginal PRP Shot | Clitoral PRP Shot lasts between 1 year & 18 months, but varies from patient to patient.
Is it safe?
The Vaginal PRP Shot | Clitoral PRP Shot is very safe since it contains no chemicals, medications, or synthetic substances, just your body’s own plasma and growth factors in a concentrated injection. The most common side effects are mild swelling and bruising.
Which PRP kit is used for the Vaginal PRP Shot at Jandali Plastic Surgery?
We use the Selphyl® System for PRP preparation and activation. This system is designed for the safe preparation of Platelet-rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM) from a small sample of blood. Selphyl removes virtually all contaminating cells. PRP is converted to PRFM, creating a scaffold that serves to protect and preserve platelets so their release of growth factors is sustained where it is injected.
