VIVEVE VAGINAL REJUVENATION IN CONNECTICUT

What is the Viveve Treatment?

ViveveViveve is a single session non-surgical treatment for vaginal rejuvenation. Just like the skin, the vaginal tissues lose collagen and elastin with aging and hormonal changes. This can lead to feelings of vaginal looseness and laxity, especially around the vaginal opening. A recent study reported that 50% of women who have previously given birth are concerned with vaginal laxity. This means millions of women suffer from vaginal laxity as a result of childbirth and aging, resulting in loss of sexual sensation, satisfaction, and confidence.

Jandali Plastic Surgery is the 1st practice in Connecticut to offer the Viveve treatment.

The Viveve treatment uses cryogen-cooled monopolar radiofrequency (CMRF) to deliver gentle volumetric heating while cooling at the same time to protect the delicate surface tissue. Viveve is a clinically proven treatment that stimulates cell growth and collagen formation and remodeling. The 30 minute treatment is performed in the privacy of our office and there is no anesthesia required and virtually no downtime.

Viveve Vaginal TighteningViveve is clinically proven to:

  • Improve vaginal laxity (looseness or overstretched vagina)
  • Increase vaginal lubrication and improve vaginal dryness
  • Reduce painful intercourse
  • Improve urinary stress incontinence (urine leakage from bladder)
  • Increase vaginal sensitivity
  • Increase quality and intensity of orgasms

How does Viveve work?

The patented Viveve technology uses deep heating and surface cooling to stimulate your body’s own cells to produce collagen. Over time, the collagen remodels and the vaginal tissues tighten and become healthier. Patients report sustained tightening and improved sensation and sexual satisfaction for over 12 months after treatment.

How Viveve is different from Laser Vaginal Treatments (diVa, MonaLisa, FemiLift)

Viveve uses radiofrequency energy to treat deep vaginal tissues and improve vaginal laxity, sexual function, and urinary incontinence.  There are multiple laser vaginal treatments on the market like diVa, MonaLisa Touch, FemiLift, and IntimaLase. All of these laser vaginal treatments use either a CO2 or erbium lasers to remove a layer of the vaginal mucosa, which can potentially lead to scarring. Multiple RealSelf reviews show patients complaining of pain or painful sex after laser vaginal treatments.

In addition, vaginal lasers are not comfortable since they do not cool at the same time, as Viveve does. Since lasers can only penetrate the most superficial layer inside the vagina, they also need multiple treatments compared to 1 treatment with Viveve. The energy delivered by Viveve can penetrate much deeper (3-5 mm) and has longer lasting effects and can improve sexual dysfunction and stress urinary incontinence.

Why women want the Viveve treatment

It works – patients can FEEL the difference. Studies show that Viveve improves both vaginal laxity and sexual function.

The treatment is comfortable and discreet and performed in a single session.

Viveve is safe and stimulates the body’s own regenerative response to gradually restore healthy collagen and to give the vaginal tissues a youthful tone and resiliency.

Non-Surgical Treatment for Urinary Stress Incontinence

Viveve Urinary Incontinence TreatmentViveve is also performed to improve urinary stress incontinence, which is unwanted leaking of urine from the bladder. Urine leaks can occur when you sneeze, cough, laugh, exercise, or lift heavy items. This can be quite embarrassing and can lead women to wear absorbent pads or avoid certain situations.

The leakage of urine from the bladder is fairly common after vaginal childbirth and is caused by weakened muscles and tissues around the opening of your bladder.  Patients are seeing significant improvement in mild urinary incontinence with just one treatment of Viveve, and these results last for up to a year without surgery.  After Viveve, you can complete every day without having to worry about frequent, embarrassing leaks that may occur anywhere, any time.

Viveve Frequently Asked Questions

Does Viveve hurt?

The Viveve treatment is not painful. Viveve uses tiny pulses of gentle energy. The right amount of heat, for the right amount of time, is delivered to reinvigorate tissue. Most women experience a sensation of heating and cooling during the treatment, but usually no pain or discomfort.

How soon will I see results after Viveve?

Every patient responds differently and some have improvement in one area before others, like urinary incontinence, vaginal tightening, or vaginal moisture. Some patients have immediate improvement, but most patients start seeing the benefits about 1 month after treatment, and they continue to improve for up to 3 months after treatment.

How long do Viveve results last?

Results vary from patient to patient, depending on their body’s healing ability, age, and what is being treated. Most patients are still feeling their results at 12 months. We recommend maintenance treatments every 1 to 1.5 years, but if you still have results you can wait longer.

Is there any downtime with Viveve?

Unlike other vaginal treatments on the market, the vaginal tissue is not being lasered or resurfaced with Viveve. Thanks to the patented cooling process, you can return to normal activities immediately following the procedure. We ask patients to wait 48 hours before returning to sexual activities.

Who is the ideal candidate for Viveve?

Candidates are any female who has feelings of vaginal laxity or a “loose vagina”, vaginal dryness, or stress incontinence. Most women who get the treatment have had a vaginal birth and have one or more of these symptoms, all of which are treated by Viveve.

Is the Viveve treatment safe?

The radiofrequency energy used in the treatment has been used for over a decade in treating the delicate skin on the face, neck and hands.  Numerous clinical trials by Viveve have demonstrated the safety of Viveve.

What makes the Viveve procedure different from other vaginal treatments?

  • Viveve is a global leader for these breakthrough treatments.
  • Viveve is the only treatment which has been studied and has a proven effect in a randomized controlled scientific trial.
  • The energy delivered by Viveve reaches deeper than other technologies on the market, for better and longer lasting results.
  • Viveve is a single treatment compared to most other vaginal treatments, which require multiple sessions.
